Decals are ready!
RCIndycars will be putting online Decals that are current for the new Open Wheel League. These decals
sheets are about 5x7 in size and are printed out at 2400dpi. Finally we coat the decals
with a special UVA protection coat to reduce fading due to sunlight. These are vinyl decals and they are
for 1/10 scale vehicles. We will continue to try and update the Decals with the latest livery and as they
change each year.

RC Indycars Spitfire takes 1st place at the 2nd F1 Challenge in Georgia
Submitted by mxrich
The RCIndycars Spitfire of Ned Smalts win round #2 in Cumming, GA on May 27 at the Sugarbowl raceway.
Up against the current World Champ Heath Mahar with his Hyperdrive F1 and the #2 driver with an MLP car
and the #3 HPI driver Brett Mcgee Neds pulled it off with some serious smooth driving. Some local drivers
with Tamiya F103's and Hybrid Associated cars kept the crowd on edge in the main and cheered as the lead
car tagged the wall to give Ned the lead which he help to the finish. Not too bad for his first F1 Tour
race. Ned Is from the Easley, SC club and now plans to enter a few more of the tour races to gain points
for the Spitfire...go get'em Ned!

What RC Indycars is working on?
Well now that I can start getting back to doing more things here are some of the things that I'm currently
working on and there is no ETA for any of them due to family life and full-time job:
- Re-design the rear chassis brace for better adjustments
- Indycar / IRL Body, if all goes well with this one, will have more
- Decals
- Manufactured front-end that would work on the Cosworth, Cosworth2, HPI F1 and Tamiya F103's.
- Design and alternative Spitfire front end
Also the price of graphite has increased by 25%, which unfortunately means that the price of the chassis kits will also
need to be increased to reflect the new costs. They will not be going up 25% since only about %60 of the cost is
material the other costs are cutting and other overhead costs. But we haven't raised the prices since we started in 2003,
that is 4 years without a price increase!

- RC Indycars takes the TOP 3 at the Velodrome Nationals Indy Class. RC Indycars
placed 6 cars in the Top 7 of a field of 14 racers. We could not have done this without the support of you
the racers that buy our chassis and come out to race. As always we invite anyone interested in racing an Indy
style car to come out at least once to the Velodrome to experience this high-speed racing style!
- We are now offering a Spitfire Kit with an Associated Standard butterfly front-end.
July 2004
We have made some slight changes to the Thuderbolt and Cosworth Chassis following feedback from the racers. Yes we do listen to your input, so it is important to provide
us with any information that you feel would be beneficial and we will evaluate if it is a change that would be good for all and the cost to make that change would not break the bank.
Additional we are proud to announce the release of three new chassis; the T1, GRX - Oval "Panther" and Spitfire.
The T1 is a solid chassis version of the Thunderbolt, it is set to replace the Thunderbolt
The GRX - Oval "Panther" is a 4-Cell Oval only solid chassis with an offset front-end
The Spitfire is a inline F1/Indy car allowing you to run side by side batteries or a stick pack if you are running in a Spec Class
We now have an online store for those wanting to purchase the kits if your LHS doesn't carry our kits.
The changes made to the Cosworth chassis was to move the battery slots back just slightly and redesign the rear cross brace to allow you to mount the wing off of the chassis.
We also removed from the kit the butterfly chassis piece and made that optional for those that don't use that part, this also helps reduce the cost.
The GRX - Oval Chassis is the design work of Bob Cordell and Brad Hayes, making it a truly competitive car on the Oval Circuit. This chassis is already starting to
set new track records. With it's 4 cell design, it also allows those that are racing 4 Cell Oval Classes to place all of the batteries on the left hand side of the car
for optimum battery positioning. We expect this to be one of our top sellers and follow in our tradition of providing you the racers with available chassis to continue
to run the F1/Indy RC classes.
Allot of people have asked about the Blue Graphite version of the chassis that is on the Website, you asked and we will be coming out with a limited run of Chassis here in a few months,
hopefully in time for Christmas, that will be made with Blue Graphite. Due to the higher cost of colored Graphite, the cost will be a little higher than the standard version.
